Two-day, hands-on workshop in the production of pastured poultry.
8am-5pm THURSDAY -
Poultry Production from chick to full-size chicken. Discussions/experiences include setting up chick brooder & field pens, poultry feed mixing, poultry nutrition, legal issues of on-farm processing and sales. Guest speakers: Don Brubaker & Gary Cox, Esq.
7am-5pm FRIDAY and dinner -
Poultry Processing on the farm. Experience and learn how to slaughter and process chickens for sale and personal consumption.
