The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) is representing Meadowsweet Dairy, LLC and its managers Steve and Barb Smith in a series of administrative and civil court actions in response to an attempt by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (NYDAM) to enforce dairy regulations on this private entity. 

Status of the Case:   May 6, 2010 - Contempt charges dismissed

Plaintiffs (P):  Meadowsweet Dairy, LLC; Steven and Barbara Smith 

Defendants (D):  Patrick Hooker, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets (NYDAM); Will Francis, Director of the Division of Milk Control and Dairy Services
