Raw Milk Education Webinar Series
April 9, 16, 23 at 1 p.m. Eastern

   "This is a fantastic opportunity.
I really appreciate getting
this information from experts
in the raw milk community
rather than having to sift
through information from
the conventional experts."
                  -Georgia Brinkley

Raw Milk University, presented by the Farm-to-Consumer Foundation (FTCF), is for farmers and consumers at all levels of raw milk production and consumption experience who want to learn more about the methods and opportunities for raw milk production, the consumer's role in safe handling practices, and the new relationships that the raw milk movement is fostering within the local food movement.

Farmers: Start, maintain, or learn more about how to improve your raw milk dairy operation.

Consumers: Learn more about raw milk production (so you can choose a producer with confidence) and about the safe handling of fresh, raw milk from the farm to your table.

The series gives participants the opportunity to learn from experts in the raw milk community and offers sessions specifically for cow producers and goat producers, as well as an Open Forum where attendees can lead the discussion and ask questions directly to the experts on any topic that is of concern to them.

April 9 - "What and How to Feed Your Raw Milk Dairy Cow and the Microbes She Lives On"

April 16 - "Spring Lactation and Kid Management for the Raw Milk Dairy Goat"

April 23 - Open Forum (your questions direct the discussion via conference call)

All webinars begin at 1:00 p.m. Eastern and are approximately an hour and a half long with ample time for Q&A after the featured presentation.

The webinars are $40.00 each, $75.00 for two sessions, or $110.00 for all three sessions.

FTCF launched Raw Milk University in January 2014 with webinars discussing the basics about animals that should be used for a raw dairy operation. If you missed these first webinars, you can purchase downloadable copies on FTCF's website.

The cow sessions are presented by Tim Wightman and the goat sessions are presented by Sharon Wilson, both of whom are experts in their fields.

Tim Wightman is a farmer and long-time dairy and soils consultant. He serves as FTCF president and is a founding board member of the Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF). He pioneered CSAs, organic cooperatives, farmers' markets, the cow-share program and the farm-share program, while living in northern Wisconsin. Tim has operated and designed raw milk dairy farms in several states and now lives and farms in New Hampshire. He consults worldwide with dairy farmers on raw milk safety and direct marketing; he also provides free consultations for FTCLDF members. Tim is the author of the Raw Milk Production Handbook and the presenter in the "From Grass to the Glass - Chore Time" DVD.

Sharon Wilson owned and operated the largest raw goat dairy in Colorado (Natural Choice Dairy, LLC) and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Farm-to-Consumer Foundation and was one of the founding board members and Treasurer of the Raw Milk Association of Colorado (RMAC). Her role in RMAC was to help to define and create testing regimes for goats and raw goat milk along with quality recognition and recommended collection processes. She has been consulting on raw goat milk dairies nationwide for over 8 years. Sharon also presented the goat herdshare sessions for the original Cow-Share College and Goat-Share University teleconferences sponsored by FTCF, which will soon be available online for FTCLDF members.
