Raw Milk Day at the Capitol in Madison, Wisconsin Supporters of raw milk and the Raw Milk Bill currently circulating in the Legislature are encouraged to participate in Raw Milk Day on Wednesday, April 13 |
On that day raw milk supporters will be talking to their legislators and/or their legislator's staff members about the Raw Milk Bill, LRB 0306/2 (Senate) and LRB 1531/1 (Assembly).
The itinerary for the day is as follows:
9:30 a.m. Meet with Lobbyist Jolene Plautz and other supporters of the bill in Room 425 SW in the Capitol Building. Jolene has been hired by the Wisconsin Raw Milk Association to work on getting the bill passed.
10:00 - 10:30 Meet with the Staffs of Senator Glenn Grothman and Representative Don Pridemore. Grothman and Pridemore are the principle sponsors of the bill in the Senate and General Assembly, respectively. The staffers will talk about their work on the bill and the most effective ways to communicate when talking with your legislators and their staffs.
10:30 - 1:00 Canvassing the Capitol to talk to Legislators and their staffs about co-sponsoring and/or supporting the raw milk bill
1:30 - 2:00 p.m. Review of the Day with Jolene Plautz
Please be respectful when talking to legislators and their staffs. Those participating are urged to call their legislators beforehand and set up appointments to see them.
