The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) is proud to host a FREE screening of the documentary Farmageddon on Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. FTCLDF will "pass the hat" as a fundraiser before and during the screening.
FTCLDF's very own board member Judith McGeary, Esq. will introduce the film in the host hotel of the Wise Traditions Regional Conference for the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF) at the Houston Marriott South Hobby Airport Hotel.
Be sure to visit the FTCLDF exhibit booth at the conference hotel on Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30.
The exhibit hall is free and open to the public!
A traditional foods dinner arranged by WAPF will be available to the public and conference attendees at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the hotel restaurant on a first come, first served basis for $25.
Judith McGeary is an attorney, activist, and sustainable farmer. After earning her B.S. from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, she clerked for a Federal Appeals Court and went on to private law practice. During that time, she became a passionate advocate of sustainable agriculture, and she and her husband established their own livestock farm. After seeing how government regulations benefit industrial agriculture at the expense of family farms, she founded the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance to promote common-sense policies for local, diversified agricultural systems. Judith has been profiled in the Texas Observer and Edible Austin, appears in the documentary Farmageddon, and has been interviewed on numerous radio shows across the country. You can contact Judith at [email protected] or 254-697-2661.
