Kentucky Senate Bill (SB 47)
Slated for Vote This Afternoon! Final Senate Push

SB 47, the live stock share bill, will most likely be voted on this afternoon by the Kentucky Senate. SB 47 bars interference in private, shared ownership of animals and whatever products that shared ownership produces, creating new economic opportunities for farmers while helping consumers access the food of their choice from the farmer of their choice raised according to the standards of their choice.
The bill has faced significant opposition from big-ag interests in the Commonwealth, who have vowed to use "every political tool" they have to oppose the bill.
