SB 47 - Protection for small farm investment and the benefits of shared ownership of livestock (including cow/herd share and other arrangements for real milk and real food)

 

Senate bill SB47 has passed out of the Agriculture committee by a 9-2 vote and is quickly moving through the full Senate. 

 

The bill, disliked by large agribusiness interests in the Commonwealth and certain agencies because it protects people's right to acquire the food of their choice from the farmer of their choice via shared ownership arrangements, will most likely be voted on TODAY at 2:00.

 

WE NEED THOUSANDS OF PHONE CALLS TO HELP PUSH THIS BILL THROUGH THE KY SENATE AND SHOW BIG-AG KY CARES ABOUT ITS SMALL FARMS AND RAW MILK.

We do not want to get Senators upset due to receiving a lot of calls outside their district.   

 

So if you are outside, then please FORWARD this to a person, business, or group in Kentucky who may be able to help us in these efforts.
