I own a milk cow and go above and beyond recommended safe handling procedures and would just love it if I could share our wholesome milk instead of tossing out excess. We sell our produce and eggs at local certified Farmers markets and know what food safety means and respect it whole heartedly. Please support this Bill

There is a significant need for locally produced dairy in CA, and this bill would help both small farmers and consumers. There is no reason that a small farmer should be forced to invest hundreds of thousands in infrastructure just to milk a couple of cows, there should be a legal and safe alternative for them to produce a high quality product and directly market that to consumers. This bill would help them considerably.

I've farmed for just over a decade and raw milk has been one of my greatest enjoyments- both keeping the dairy animals and making my own cheese, yogurt and having fresh raw milk each morning. I believe all americans, in every state should have the right to sell their milk and end the monopoly of dairy cooperatives which don't even pay dairy farmer's well.Let's take agriculture back to the farm without the middlemen.
Warmly,
Marcia PImentel

This bill solves a real problem for farmers and for the folks who want to support their local farmer and get fresh raw milk in return. And it decriminalizes food and the people who eat food.

My daughter raises dairy goats for 4H. It would be wonderful to be able to sell our excess milk and use those funds within the 4H club to assist with community service projects. With current laws, we can only toss out excess milk.

As a 4-Her and FFA member in my youth I raised dairy goats. Excess milk was always an issue. Part of any project is completing it. The point of raising a goat is to produce milk, money earned from selling that milk is the reward for a job well done. In order to ensure a stable base of people who understand how and are capable of raising things, including animals, to produce for us it is imperative that we make it rewarding for these people to maintain livestock and other agricultural pursuits. These people are entrepreneurs and should be supported. It is unreasonable to interfere between consenting buyer and seller about small scale use of privately produced products. Support small scale agriculture. Vote Yes on AB 2505

Vote yes on AB 2505, my family and I drank raw milk from small local farmers in Europe - it tastes great and is perfectly safe. We should have the right to do so here as well.

I and my family have been drinking raw milk first from my own goats, then from Organic Pastures. It is an important quality of life issue for me, and AB 2505 would help make it better for everyone

Raw milk tastes great and has many health benefits. We prefer the option to be able to buy the farmers excess milk. I lived in California for
54 years of my 62 year life and the best milk my family had was from Alta Dena Dairy in the Los Angeles area.

It should not be illegal for people to drink perfectly good milk provided by their neighbor, The fact that the neighbor also drinks milk from the same cow ensures that the neighbor is following sanitary practices in raising and milking the cow.

I'm in favor any legislation that supports California's small family farms and farmers. Additionally, putting healthy, nutritious food into circulation, making it available for purchase, rather than discarding it can only be a great thing.

Please support the freedoms that made this country great by voting YES on AB 2505, "Home Dairy Farm Raw Milk Safety Act". This bill is not about food safety or big dairy vs small, but rather correcting the Government overreach by granting Californians the freedom to choose which products are appropriate for themselves and their families and more importantly access to those products.

It would support our small herd greatly if we could sell our rich clean goats milk and cheese. My daughter like many youth under my supervision shows and breeds for improvement in production etc..Passing this law would allow us to offset our costs as well as serve a growing need for organic products.

Please vote yes on AB2502 Raw Milk Bill. People want raw milk again and are willing to support small farms that raise healthy animals to get it.

I am unable to keep cows, goats, or sheep on my suburban lot in Sunnyvale. However, I want farm fresh raw milk in order to make cheese for my family. The cheeses would be aged over 60 days as required with raw milk. Cheese made with raw milk can develop much more character. At present it is either difficult or extremely expensive to purchase sufficient raw milk to make cheese at home.

Please support the Farm to Fridge Bill (AB 2505). My kids own 2 dairy goats on a 4H ranch in Santa Clara County. Current laws prevent us from distributing our excess milk. We are discarding buckets of milk every day, because our freezer cannot hold any more. Due to the small size and limited funding for our 4H ranch, it would be financially impossible for us to meet the requirements established for large commercial dairies. AB2505 would establish a reasonable system for protecting public health while allowing us to share our excess goat milk through direct sales or donations. If passed, this would enable my girls to learn skills in marketing, sales and how to run a small business.

I grew up on a small farm and raw milk as did my parents and grandparents.
Thank you for considering and supporting my right to choose to honor my traditions.

We have 4 mini dairy goats to meet my family's raw milk need. My son's teeth had cavities when he had never eaten a sweet, was exclusively breastfeed, and had a parent brush his teeth each day. After 4 months of raw milk,my son is cavity free. (For more info on this phenomenon, see the work of Weston A. Price- former head of the American Dental Assn.). Before we had goats, we paid $17/gallon to obtain raw milk at the health food store. We urge you to legalize raw milk. Louis Pasteur never intended (see his writings for proof) for all milk to be pasteurized. He needed a solution for overcrowded and unclean dairy lots. He knew raw milk was infinitely healthier than pasteurized milk. Please don't let yourself be bullied by the dairy lobby. Legalize raw milk and let the consumer choose.

The families I serve need and want raw milk.
My own family regularly purchases and consumes raw milk instead of processed "milk".
Raw milk is too valuable to be wasted.
Please support AB 2505
