My extensive research has shown numerous harmful effects from, in particular, transgenic GMOs now prevalent in our food supply (primarily in processed foods containing corn, soy, canola and sugarbeets). Roundup (the herbicide sprayed on Roundup-Ready GMOs) is also regularly used as a drying agent on non-GMO crops such as wheat and legumes. Besides other issues with Roundup, it was patented as a pipe descaler (binds with minerals to allow easier removal) and as an antibiotic. Reducing the essential minerals all human bodies need can cause health disorders. We are also seeing the effects of the overuse of antibiotics, mainly from factory farmed meat, but this herbicide adds to our overexposure. As it stands, without labeling, it is nearly impossible for consumers to know which foods contain GMOs.
