The Virginia Food Freedom Act(HB 619) aims to allow direct sales of home- and farm-produced foods without burdensome regulations. Reintroduced and amended by Delegate Rob Bell, a subcommittee vote on HB 619 passed (4 to 3) on January 25th but pressure from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) is forcing a revote on February 1, 2016.
