The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund intends to increase its efforts in working toward the passage of favorable raw milk legislation at both the federal and state level.  Towards that end, the Fund would like to build a database of raw milk testimonials that could be used.  We are looking for your testimonials on how raw milk and raw milk products have benefited your health and the health of your family.  The Fund is interested in getting the following types of testimonials:

• Testimonials from those whose health care practitioner (particularly, MDs) recommended the consumption of raw milk and/or any raw milk products, e.g., for the improvement of their general health or as part of the treatment for a specific medical condition;
• Testimonials from those whose health care practitioner (particularly, MDs) have commented on how the consumption of raw milk and/or any raw milk products has improved their general health or any specific medical condition;
• Testimonials from health care practitioners (particularly, MDs) on how the use of raw milk and/or any raw milk products as part of the treatment protocol for their patients has led to improvements in their general health or in specific medical conditions;
• Testimonials from parents who have seen the consumption of raw milk and/or any raw milk products contribute to improvements in the health of their child(ren).  We are especially interested in getting testimonials on how the consumption of raw milk and/or any raw milk products has benefited the health of children aged five or younger.

Passing pro-raw milk legislation is difficult at either federal or state level, but it can be done.  In 2005, Colorado passed a bill legalizing cow and goat share programs shortly after the state department of health had attempted to issue a rule banning them.    This success can be repeated elsewhere.  Your testimonials will be an important part of any effort.
